Continuing Education Fund
VTC Continuing & Professional Education offers a number of Continuing Education Fund (CEF) reimbursable programmes. The Government implements a series of enhancement measures under CEF on 1 April 2019 and 1 August 2022. Details are as follows. For more information, please visit the CEF website.
- Increasing CEF subsidy ceiling to HK$25,000 per applicant;
- Re-activating closed CEF accounts, so that applicants can make use of the unused balance (if any) under the original subsidy of HK$20,000, as well as the additional subsidy of HK$5,000;
- Adopting a co-payment ratio by learners for the first HK$10,000 subsidy at 20% of the course fee and that for the second HK$15,000 subsidy at 40% of the course fee;
- Removal of the upper age limit for CEF applicants.
- Expanding the scope of CEF courses to all eligible courses registered in Qualifications Register;
- No validity period of CEF accounts and no limit on the maximum number of claims.
- To submit application for opening CEF account together with application for the first reimbursement claim after the successful completion of the first CEF course within one year;
- Enhancing the quality assurance monitoring of CEF courses; and
- The new enhancement measures of increasing CEF subsidy ceiling to HK$25,000 per applicant and removal of the upper age limit for CEF applicants, are applicable only for courses commencing on or after 1 August 2022.
Vplus Subsidy Scheme
Vplus Subsidy Scheme1 consists of 'Vplus Engineering2' and 'Vplus Creative Industries'. The scheme provides tuition fee subsidy for students admitted to designated part-time programmes in the subject areas of construction, engineering, design and information technology. Successful applicants will be refunded 60% of the tuition fees of eligible programmes, subject to a maximum of HK$45,000 per person (Vplus Engineering) / HK$36,000 (Vplus Creative Industries).
