Objectives:

The programme shall provide key concepts in therapeutic usage and side-effects of drug (non-Chinese Medicines) that are commonly used in Hong Kong.

Contents:

1. Explain the therapeutic usages and known side-effects of commonly-used drugs in Hong Kong hospitals;
2. Describe the importance of herb-drug interactions and their effects on the human body; and
3. Outline the basic principles of drug safety and pharmacovigilance.
