Internal Auditing for HOKLAS Accredited Laboratories

Objective
This 3-day course is designed to provide participants the principles of auditing and is applicable to all types of laboratories interacting with new edition ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Intended Learning Outcome
On completion of the course, participants should be able to:
- Have planning and auditing skills for testing laboratory based on new edition ISO/IEC 17025:2017;
- Recognize the purpose of audits and effective use of audits within a quality management system.

Course Contents
- Principle and purpose of auditing in laboratory
- Requirements of laboratory internal audit according to HOKLAS 003 and HKAS supplementary criteria
- Managing an audit programme
- Preparing for the audit activities
- Conducting audit activities
- Techniques for collecting and verifying information
- Documenting audit findings
- Classifying audit findings into nonconformities (NC) or recommendations for improvements
- Root causes analysis
- Identifying the proper corrective actions taken
- Monitoring the effectiveness of internal audits

Award
- There will be an assessment in form of written examination at the end of the progamme
- Certificate of Achievement will be issued to course participant who passed the assessment and has satisfied the attendance requirement of 70%
