Bioinformatics for NGS Analysis

To meet the growing industry demand, this course aims to provide comprehensive hands-on training and knowledge in High Throughput Sequencing - HTS (also known as Next Generation Sequencing - NGS) using Illumina MiSeq platform. Also, the course will cover bioinformatics and computer programming skills for HTS data analysis. This course is designed for personnel who is working in the field of bioinformatics, DNA sequencing, or related industries.

Course outline:

1.     Principle and application of HTS

2.     Demonstration on operation of Illumina MiSeq platform

3.     Principle and application of bioinformatics

4.     Practice on HTS data analysis using computer programming

Lesson Schedule: 9:30-12:30 & 14:00-17:00

Remarks: Students are required to bring a notebook with WIFI access to attend the course
