This aims for those new to wine study, start a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine. This qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings.
 
 
Learning Contents
•The main types and styles of wine
•Common wine grapes and their characteristics
•The principles of food and wine pairing
•How to store and serve wine
•How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)

Contact Hours: Total 7 hours including 45 minutes examination in 3 lessons

Entry Requirements

Aged over 18, and do not have any health problems that made me unfit for alcoholic beverage tasting.

Please fill up the application form below, attached with a crossed cheque payable to “Vocational Training Council” (back of the cheque with names of applicant and programme), and send it by post or in-person before the closing date to the following address:
