This programme provides specific training for the practitioners to enhance their environmental management knowledge and upgrade their competencies so as to be more effective in carrying out their works.

This programme offers the following 8 modules:
 

CON4021Y - Environmental Legislation 
CON4023Y - Construction Environmental Management Plan
CON4054Y - Environmental, Safety and Quality Management Systems 
CON4055Y - Environmental Assessment, Monitoring and Audit 
CON4056Y - Air and Noise Control Technology 
CON4057Y - Solid and Hazardous Waste Management 
CON4058Y - Water and Wastewater Control Technology
CON4059Y - Green Innovation and Business Strategy 



Time of Classes

- 1 to 2 evenings per week (19:00 - 22:00);
- Duration: 240 hrs. The whole programme can be completed in 12 to 18 months.


Assessments

- Students' performance in each module is assessed by Continuous Assessment (CA) and/or End-of-Module Assessment (EA).
- Assessments and examination are conducted in English.

 

Attendance

The attendance requirement for the course is 70%.

 

Vplus Subsidy Scheme

With Vplus Engineering under the Vplus Subsidy Scheme, eligible students may apply up to 60% reimbursement of their tuition fee, totalling a maximum amount of $45,000. For details, please visit:

Remarks

Starting from September 2024, only electronic lecture notes would be provided for this programme.

 

Entry Requirements

Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language or equivalent with at least 2 years work experience
Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language with at least 2 years working experience
21 years old or above with at least 2 years working experience, may be admitted subject to passing an interview and / or aptitude test, if necessary

Financial Assistance Scheme

Vplus Subsidy Scheme

This course is an eligible programme under “Vplus Subsidy Scheme – Vplus Engineering”. Under this scheme, successful applicants will be refunded 60% of the paid tuition fees of eligible programmes, subject to a maximum of $45,000 per person.
