Professional Diploma in Data Science and Predictive Analytics

Course Structure
1. Data Science Fundamental (24 hours)
2. Machine Learning Applications in Data Science (24 hours)
3. Deep Learning with TensorFlow (24 hours)
4. Data Visualization and Analytics (24 hours)
5. Data Mining with R (24 hours)
6. AI for Predictive Analytics (24 hours)
Content cover:
Python, TensorFlow, R, Tableau, web scrapping, Data Mining, Data Visualization, Data Analysis, AI development
- 6 hours lessons on Saturday (10:00-13:00 & 14:00-17:00)
- In special circumstances, some lessons may be conducted in online mode.
- Duration: 144 hrs
Entry Requirements
Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least one year of relevant work experience; or
Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least two years of relevant work experience; or
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board plus at least one year of relevant work experience; or
Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above plus at least one year of relevant work experience AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
At least two years of relevant work experience plus other relevant verifiable prior learning that are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
21 years old or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, may be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
Financial Assistance Scheme
Vplus Creative Industries
As a part of the Vplus Subsidy Scheme, Vplus Creative Industries is supported by the HKSAR Government to encourage working adults to pursue higher qualifications for career advancement and to promote lifelong learning.
Successful applicants can be reimbursed 60% of the tuition fees paid for the programme, maximum HK$36,000 per person. Applicants may apply for reimbursement for more than one eligible programmes.
