Programme Details

On completion of the programme, learners will be able to:

Comprehend essential knowledge and skills in immersive game development in Digital Entertainment Industries;
Develop realistic game assets for immersive game development; and
Foster a comprehensive understanding of game development and promote adaptability in the rapidly evolving game industry.

Course Content

Module 1 – Unreal Engine Fundamental:

-Import and use of free assets from Asset Marketplace

- Introduction to Unreal Engine

- Viewport and Entities Actor Systems

- 3D World Construction

- Material Configuration for 3D Model

- Lighting and Visual Effects

- Construction Script Blueprints

- Camera & Rendering Setting

Module 2 – Unreal Engine Advanced Training:

- Introduction to Control Rig & Blueprint as Combined Asset

- Metahuman & Immersive Elemnt

- Sequencer operation

- Immersive Game Project Design & Development

Entry Requirements

Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above including English Language and Chinese Language, or equivalent; or
Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language, or equivalent; or
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; or
Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above; or
Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board; or
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience AND a pass in the entrance assessment

As a part of the Vplus Subsidy Scheme, Vplus Creative Industries is supported by the HKSAR Government to encourage working adults to pursue higher qualifications for career advancement and to promote lifelong learning.

Successful applicants can be reimbursed 60% of the tuition fees paid for the programme, maximum HK$36,000 per person. Applicants may apply for reimbursement for more than one eligible programmes.
