The core module of this programme, Building Information Modelling for BIM Coordinator (CON4185X), is a BIM coordinator course (CCBC) accredited by the Construction Industry Council (CIC). Students* who completed this Professional Certificate training programme have met the following requirements for Certified Building Information Modeling Coordinator (CCBC), including:
1. A Diploma at QF Level 4 which is recognised by a CIC recognised professional body^ 
2. CIC-Accredited BIM Coordinator Course
3. BIM software/platform training course in operation level as recognised by CIC^

*Only applicable to graduates from or after Class 29
^Not applicable to students who only complete the core module (CON4185X)
 
Learning Contents
 
Core Module:
CON4185X - Building Information Modelling for BIM Coordinator (45 hrs)
 
Elective Module:
CON4096X - Building Information Modelling- Architecture (45 hrs)
CON4097X - Building Information Modelling- Structure (45 hrs)
CON4098X - Building Information Modelling- Building Services (45 hrs)
 
Assessment
Students' performance in each module is assessed by Continuous Assessment (CA) and End-of-Module Assessment (EA). Assessments are conducted in English.
 
Schedule
- 1-2 nights per week, 18:30 - 21:30 / 19:00 - 22:00
- Duration: 90 hrs. The whole programme can be completed in 9-12 months.
 
Award
- Certificate in Building Information Modelling (Building Works)(Building Information Modelling for BIM Coordinator Module) will be conferred to students upon their satisfactory completion of the core module (CON4185X).
- Professional Certificate in Building Information Modelling (Building Works) will be conferred to students upon their satisfactory completion of the whole programme which consists of 2 modules (core module and one elective module).
 
Entry Requirement:
- Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent with one-year work experience; or
- Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent with two-year work experience; or
- Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the Construction Programme Board with one-year work experience; or
- Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
- 21 years old or above with 2 years relevant working experience, may be admitted subject to passing an interview and / or aptitude test, if necessary
 
Financial Assistance Scheme
Vplus Subsidy Scheme
This course is an eligible programme under “Vplus Subsidy Scheme – Vplus Engineering”. Under this scheme, successful applicants will be refunded 60% of the paid tuition fees of eligible programmes, subject to a maximum of $45,000 per person.
