Programme Aims
Small unmanned aircraft (SUA) has been widely used in various fields including surveying, aerial photographing, mapping and more. This programme introduces the general principles of flight. Through lectures and flight training, learners are expected to obtain knowledge in SUA operations and basic manoeuvres.
For those students who have successfully completed the Practical Workshop on Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA), the qualification obtained is also accepted as meeting the entry requirement of “Certificate in Small Unmanned Aircraft (Advanced Rating)” (https://cpe.vtc.edu.hk/en/admission/programmes/å°ÂÂåÂÂÂÂç¡人æ©ÂÂ_é²éÂÂÂÂ_èÂÂæ¸/EG424727Q/1) requiring 2 hours flight experiences.

- Principles of flight
- Major systems and components
- Operational limitations
- Maintenance of system and battery management
- Flight Training (4 hours)
- Normal operations
- Basic manoeuvres
- Flying to designated location/altitude and hover hold
- Flying a designated pattern

The Lifelong Learning Subsidy is eligible for the graduates of Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies / Foundation Diploma, Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma in Vocational Education, Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate and Diploma Yi Jin / Yi Jin Diploma programmes offered by the VTC.
