Infrared Thermography for Building Diagnosis (Intermediate Level)

Recognized by the Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS), the course fulfills the academic requirement of the Approved Signatory and Testing Personnel in infrared thermography. Graduates shall also possess other required relevant working experience before qualifying as Approved Signatory in infrared thermography. Course Content

- Operation principles of infrared thermography

- Radiosity, basic heat transfer principles

- Spatial resolution and sensitivity of IR Camera

- Application and good practices of IR survey

- Calibration and checking of equipment

- Good practices in reporting

- Introduction to local and international standards

- Practical workshops

 

Schedule

- 1-2 nights per week, 19:00 - 22:00

- Duration: 27 hrs

IVE(Tsing Yi) or other campus

 

Entry Requirement

- Holder of the Certificate in Building Diagnosis and Inspection (Testing Technology - Infrared Thermography Module) (CON4010Y), or equivalent; or

- Diploma or Higher Certificate in relevant subject with at least 6 months working experience in surface penetration infrared and pass an entry test.

 

Award

- Student achieved 80% attendance and passed all assessment will be awarded with Certificate of Attainment.

(Passing mark of each assessment is 70%. No attendance certificate will be issued)
