Environmental Protection Course for Environmental Supervisors

This programme is recognized by the Development Bureau as a qualification that satisfies the requirement of the Environmental Protection for Environmental Supervisors Course as stated in Appendix C of ETWB Technical Circular (Works) No. 19/2005. Graduates of this programme meet the academic requirements for Environmental Supervisor, and if they also possess the required relevant work experience, they can obtain the basic qualifications required to become Environmental Supervisor.

Indicative Learning Contents (Total 30 hours)

Module 1: Air Quality, Noise and Wastewater Management
(14-hour Lecture + 1-hr Assessment)

1.1 Introduction to environmental protection for construction works
1.2 Nuisance Abatement Measures – Air Quality, Noise & Water

Module 2: Waste Management
(14-hour Lecture + 1-hr Assessment)

2.1 Sustainable and Conservation
2.2 Introduction to Waste Management
2.3 Waste Reduction Techniques
2.4 Waste Management Plan and Its Implemetations

Medium of Instruction

All teaching materials and assessments are in Chinese supplemented with English terms.
The teaching will be conducted in Cantonese.
