The programme provide students specialised knowledge and skills in surveying profession and the practical use of surveying equipment. It aims to prepare students to perform professional tasks in land surveying and pursue higher level qualifications.

Programme Structure

CON3068X - Land Surveying Theory (30 hrs)
CON3069X - Engineering Survey Practice (30 hrs)
CON3070X - Cartography (30 hrs)
CON3071X - Mapping and Plotting (30 hrs)
CON3072X - Practical Surveying (32 hrs)
CON3074X - Mathematics for Engineering Survey (30 hrs)
CON4094X - Field Camp (33 hrs)


Assessment

-Students' performance in each module is assessed by Continuous Assessment (CA) and End-of-Module Assessment (EA). Assessments are conducted in English.

-Required 70% attendance


Schedule

- 2~3 nights per week, 18:30 - 21:30
- Module CON3072X and CON4094X are conducted in Saturday (13:30 - 17:30), detail arrangement will be announced during class.
- Duration: 215 hrs. The whole programme can be completed in 15 to 18 months.

Entry Requirements

21 years old or above with 2 years relevant working experience, may be admitted subject to passing an interview and / or aptitude test, if necessary

Completion of S6 under the new academic structure/ S5 under the old academic structure, or equivalent, and with one year work experience

Vplus Subsidy Scheme

This course is an eligible programme under “Vplus Subsidy Scheme – Vplus Engineering”. Under this scheme, successful applicants will be refunded 60% of the paid tuition fees of eligible programmes, subject to a maximum of $45,000 per person.
