This programme aims to provide industry practitioners who are working in the swimming pool, spa or clubhouse with fundamental knowledge in monitoring and maintaining the safety and hygiene of the swimming pool and spa facilities.

 

Content

  • Maintaining water quality in the swimming pool and spa
  • Maintaining air quality in the swimming pool and spa
  • Prevention of infections and waterborne diseases
  • Prevention and handling of accidents and injuries
  • Work procedures and maintenance of the swimming pool and spa
  • Risk assessment
  • Overview of the swimming pools regulation (Chapter 132CA)

Total 18 hours including 60 minutes examination in 6 lessons

 

Programme & class information are as follows:

Entry Requirements

Completion of Form 5 with relevant working experience

Completion of Secondary 5 standard, or equivalent; and
Relevant working experience in the leisure and recreation industry
