This module explores modern project management concepts and their application in the IT project economy. Students will learn to analyse various strategies currently in use by businesses navigating a volatile global landscape. This module also emphasises assessing critical success factors in modern project management, like effective communication and stakeholder involvement. Trainees will also be guided in formulating effective management strategies tailored to various IT project contexts to provide a hands-on approach.   

Trainees can take the PMI Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) Examination once they complete this module. Please note that the course fee does not cover the examination fee, registration, or endorsement.

- In special circumstances, some lessons may be conducted in online mode. 
- Duration: 40hrs. The normal duration for completion of the programme is around 2-3 months. 
 
Entry Requirements

Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least one year of relevant work experience; or
Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language or equivalent with 2 years relevant working experience; or
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board plus at least one year of relevant work experience; or
Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above plus at least one year of relevant work experience AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
At least two years of relevant work experience plus other relevant verifiable prior learning that are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience AND a pass in the entrance assessment

Financial Assistance Scheme

Vplus Creative Industries 
 
As a part of the Vplus Subsidy Scheme, Vplus Creative Industries is supported by the HKSAR Government to encourage working adults to pursue higher qualifications for career advancement and to promote lifelong learning. 
 
Successful applicants can be reimbursed 60% of the tuition fees paid for the programme, maximum HK$36,000 per person. Applicants may apply for reimbursement for more than one eligible programmes.
 
Original tuition fee: $9,000
Tuition fee after funding: $3,600
