This module enables the learners to master crucial skills in software development and management. Key areas include requirement elicitation, where you'll learn to deploy appropriate techniques to capture business software application needs. It also covers in-depth evaluation and selection of software quality assurance standards and practices, equipping you with the knowledge to maintain high-quality software production. Lastly, you will gain hands-on experience applying software testing techniques at various stages of software development, ensuring robust and efficient software products. This holistic approach provides a well-rounded skill set for effective IT project management.  
 
(Exemption will be granted for students who passed in “ITP4522 Software Project Management & Quality Assurance”)   
 
 
 
Schedule
 

Cohort 1

Friday Evening

(1900 – 2100) 1, 8, 15, 22 March, 5, 12, 19, 26 April, 3, 10 May 2024
 
 
 
 
- 1 to 2 nights per week. 
 
- In special circumstances, some lessons may be conducted online mode. 
 
- Duration: 20hrs. The normal duration for completion of the programme is around 1-2 months. 
 
 
 

 

Entry Requirements

Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least one year of relevant work experience; or
Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least two years of relevant work experience; or
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board with at least 1 year relevant working experience; or
Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above plus at least one year of relevant work experience AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
At least two years of relevant work experience plus other relevant verifiable prior learning that are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience AND a pass in the entrance assessment

As a part of the Vplus Subsidy Scheme, Vplus Creative Industries is supported by the HKSAR Government to encourage working adults to pursue higher qualifications for career advancement and to promote lifelong learning. 
 
 
Successful applicants can be reimbursed 60% of the tuition fees paid for the programme, maximum HK$36,000 per person. Applicants may apply for reimbursement for more than one eligible programmes. 
 

Original tuition fee: $5,000

Tuition fee with maximum funding: $2,000
