The programme aims to equip learners with comprehensive knowledge and skills in information security, risk management, legal compliance, and security technologies, nurturing a pool of expertise to meet the high demand for infrastructure and application security.
This goal is achieved through a well-structured curriculum, effective teaching and learning strategies, comprehensive learning and teaching materials, valid and reliable assessment methods, and a variety of guided learning activities designed to meet the following objectives:
- to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of various domains of information security aligning to the national cybersecurity principles and regulations; and
- to empower learners to be well-prepared to demonstrate their expertise and meet the requirements of CISP.
The course covers the following 10 topics:

6. 信息安全評估
7. 信息安全支撑技術
8. 物理與網絡通信安全
9. 計算環境安全
10. 軟件安全開發
The course includes 1 CISP examination with 2 re-examination attempts. Digital course materials will be provided after successfully admitted to the course.
Eligibility for CISP Certificate
- Master's degree or above, with a minimum of 1 year of work experience*; or
- Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience*; or
- Higher Diploma / Associate Degree, with a minimum of 4 years of work experience*;
* All this experience must include at least 1 year of experience related to information security. The applicant's qualifications will undergo preliminary review by the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT). Upon passing the preliminary review, there will be submitted to the authorized CISP operating bodies in Hong Kong — Hong Kong Cybersecurity Professional Association Limited (HKCSPA) and China Information Technology Security Evaluation Center (CNITSEC) for final review to process examination and registration applications.

Entry Requirements
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; or
Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board; or
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
Financial Assistance Scheme
Vplus Creative Industries
As a part of the Vplus Subsidy Scheme, Vplus Creative Industries is supported by the HKSAR Government to encourage working adults to pursue higher qualifications for career advancement and to promote lifelong learning.
Participants must apply for the scheme themselves within 30 days from the programme commencement date. Successful applicants can be reimbursed 60% of the tuition fees paid for the programme, maximum HK$36,000 per person. Applicants may apply for reimbursement for more than one eligible programmes.
Original tuition fee: $13,800
Tuition fee after funding: $5,520^
^ To be eligible for the subsidy, participants must first be admitted to the programme and pay the full course fee (HK$13,800) before applying for the subsidy.
