1. Master Generative AI and Geometric Projection
Principles
Understand the underlying logic of mainstream image AI (including prompt engineering and ControlNet spatial guides), along with basic projector optics, geometry, and surface alignment mechanisms.
2. Establish a Spatial "Human-AI Collaboration" Mindset
Train students to lead the creative process by using physical structures as the skeleton and AI as the visual fabric, solving the text-to-image limitation where AI cannot align with real-world edges.
3. Precision AI Visual Control
Apply wireframe constraints and lighting-specific prompts to guide AI in rendering accurate perspectives, shadow layouts, and seamless texture mapping.
4. Workflow Optimization for Commercial Pitches
Integrate the "AI + Projection" workflow into commercial projects to increase asset production and modification speeds by up to five times, significantly reducing traditional outsourcing overheads.
Course Content
Module 1: Setup & Foundations of AI Vision
Covers digital projector hardware basics, including lumens, resolution, throw ratios, and geometric distortion principles. Introduces Text-to-Image (T2I) core logic and prompt engineering tailored for projection mapping (e.g., glow, neon, particles, textures, and 3D illumination prompts).
Module 2: Structural Extraction & Precision Control
Focuses on using iPads/tablets to trace structural contours, perspective lines, and masks from physical mockups or walls. Provides an introduction to local/cloud AI ecosystems (WebUI, Invoke AI, Krita, ComfyUI, Amuse, and real-time iPad apps). Demonstrates how to utilize ControlNet to lock wireframes, ensuring AI strictly respects physical shapes during Image-to-Image (I2I) generation.
Module 3: Regional Inpainting & Alignment Tools
Explores AI inpainting techniques, using brush tools to edit specific projection regions for seamless object removal, texture replacement, or background extension. Introduces projection adjustment interfaces, including multi-point mesh warping and multi-layer masking, to adapt visuals to non-flat surfaces. Covers tools like MapMapper and TouchDesigner for angle replacement and lighting projection.
Module 4: Commercial Application & Final Deployment
Guides students in transforming raw wireframes into immersive, cinematic commercial storyboards and projection presets. Teaches the use of AI upscaling algorithms to elevate visual content to 4K/ultra-high-definition resolution for professional projection. Concludes with hands-on project deployment, including physical projection testing, alignment troubleshooting, and anti-distortion tuning.
*Given the rapid pace of software and application updates, the course content may be subject to change to include different software without prior notice.
