| Aims
Programme Structure
Teaching Materials All teaching materials and assessments are in English (Except EME3025X).
Assessment Learners' performance in each module will be assessed by Continuous Assessment (CA) and End-of-Module Assessment (EA).
Schedule - 2 to 3 nights per week, 18:30 - 21:30 or 19:00 – 22:00. - In special circumstances, some lessons may be conducted in online mode. - Duration: 258 hrs. The normal duration for completion of the programme is around 12-15 months. External Recognition The programme is recognised by the Water Supplies Department as one of the equivalent qualifications for the Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting as stated in Part I requirement in applying for a new Grade I Plumber's Licence. It must be offered in academic year 2020/21 or after and the award of the programme must be issued within 5 years before the date of the relevant application. Entry Requirements
1. Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent with two years' relevant work experience; Or
2. Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent with one year's relevant work experience; Or
3. Holder of Diploma / Higher Certificate in relevant subject, or equivalent with one year's relevant work experience; Or
4. Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board with one year's relevant work experience: Or
5. Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written and with one year's relevant working experience; Or
6. Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least three years' relevant working experience, may be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
Financial Assistance Scheme
Vplus Subsidy Scheme
This course is an eligible programme under “Vplus Subsidy Scheme – Vplus Engineering”. Under this scheme, successful applicants will be refunded 60% of the paid tuition fees of eligible programmes, subject to a maximum of $45,000 per person.

Remarks
Face-to-face lessons may be changed to online or other mode where appropriate according to the special circumstances.
Starting from September 2024, only electronic lecture notes would be provided for this programme.
Starting from 2025/26 cohort intake, graduates of Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering at VTC are eligible to apply for exemption for some modules of the Professional Diploma in Plumbing Engineering.
