Programme Aim
This programme aims to nurture smart city talents and provide learners with specific training on innovation and technology so as to support the smart city development.
Programme Structure
EEE4034X – Introduction to Smart City (18 hrs)
EEE4035X – Design Thinking for Adopting New Technology (18 hrs)
EEE4036X – Smart City Applications (36 hrs)
EEE4037X – Big Data Technology (36 hrs)
EEE4038X – Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligent Applications (36 hrs)
The programme consists of the following Professional Certificates:
Professional Certificate in Smart City
Learners may apply for the award, if he/she was sucessfully completion of the Smart City modules [EEE4034X + EEE4035X + EEE4036X].
Professional Certificate in Smart Technology
Learners may apply for the award, if he/she was sucessfully completion of the Smart Technology modules [EEE4037X + EEE4038X].
Students' performance in each module is assessed by Continuous Assessment (CA) and End-of-Module Assessment (EA).
Medium of Instruction (MoI)
The medium of instruction is Chinese, supplemented by English terminologies.  All teaching materials including lecture notes and assessments are in English.
- 1 to 2 nights per week, 18:30 – 21:30 or 19:00 – 22:00.
- Duration: 144 hrs. The normal duration for completion of the programme is around 8 – 10 months.
Subsidy Scheme
This course has been included in the list of reimbursable courses under the Vplus Engineering.

Entry Requirements

21 years old or above with 2 years relevant working experience, may be admitted subject to passing an interview and / or aptitude test, if necessary

Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent with one year’s work experience; or

Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent with two year’s work experience; or

Completion of a QF Level 3 programme, or equivalent, with one year’s work experience or currently employed.
