Programme Description
The aims of this programme are to:
1) enable learners to demonstrate a range of conceptual and technical skills in Innovative Industrial Engineering including artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics and manufacturing technology, etc.; and
2) provide a pathway for the learners to develop their careers in the smart manufacturing industry.

EME4047X – Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 (26-hrs)
EME4048X – IIoT Applications (26-hrs)
EME4049X – Industrial Robotic Systems and Machine Vision (26-hrs)
EME4050X – AI and Big Data in Industry (26-hrs)
EME4051X – Production Planning and Control (26-hrs)
EME4052X – Smart Design and Product (26-hrs)
Assessment
- Learners' performance in each module will be assessed by Continuous Assessment (CA) and End-of-Module Assessment (EA). The assessments will be conducted in English.
Schedule
- 2 to 3 nights per week, 18:30 – 21:30 or 19:00 - 22:00.
- Duration: 156 hrs. The normal duration for completion of the programme is around 12 months.
Programme Fee
HKD$28,080.00
Starting from September 2024, only electronic lecture notes would be provided for this programme.
Entry Requirements
Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent, with one year’s work experience; or
Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent, with two years’ work experience; or
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme, or equivalent, with one year’s work experience or currently employed; or
Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above; or
21 years old or above with 2 years relevant working experience, may be admitted subject to passing an interview and / or aptitude test, if necessary.
