Programme Objectives:
Prepare students with basic knowledge and skills so as to facilitate learners to perform the assigned tasks to the individual according to the prescribed treatment strategies of the professionals

Venue: Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwai Chung) or Approved Designated Venue
Hourly breakdown of contents:
(a) Module 1 - Basic Health Care Practices I (32 hours)
(b) Module 2 - Basic Health Care Practices II (32 hours)
(c) Module 3 - Basic Rehabilitation Skills (32 hours)
Assessment items and their weightings:
- Continuous Assessment 50% (Case Studies / Project / Work- shop)
- End of Module Assessment 50% (Project/Case Studies/Presentation)
Completion Requirements:
(1) Must be at least 50% or such higher overall passing mark or grade
(2) Must be at least 70% of the total contact hours of the course.
Entry Requirements
(a) Completion of S6 under the new academic structure/ S5 under the old academic structure, or equivalent; or
(b) Completion of a QF Level 2 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board*; or
(c) Relevant and substantial work experience and/or prior qualification(s) obtained in or outside Hong Kong (e.g. assessed through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and credit accumulation and transfer), with demonstrated ability to undertake sub-degree education ; AND
(d) Good command of spoken Cantonese and written Chinese
* Specifically, completion of S3 with QF Level 2 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board
Mature applicants
Mature applicants, i.e., those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ work experience (relevant work experience is preferable), may also be accepted. Where appropriate, the applicants may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written.
