Programme Aim

"AI Embedded System Fundamentals" is designed to provide learners with a foundation in embedded systems and their integration with artificial intelligence technologies. By following a structured curriculum, learners will explore key concepts of embedded systems, covering their architecture, functionality, as well as essential aspects of machine learning and edge computing.

 

This programme offers a hands-on learning experience, enabling learners to participate in practical workshops and mini-projects that involve AI-driven applications like gesture-controlled robots and smart sensors. This hands-on approach ensures that students can effectively apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations, thereby enhancing their problem-solving abilities.

 

Upon completion of the programme, learners will have developed basic knowledge that prepares them for further exploration in the fields of embedded systems and artificial intelligence. Course Outline

  1. Introduction to Embedded Systems (3 hours) (Classroom)
    1. Embedded Systems Basics
    2. Machine Learning Basics
    3. Understanding Edge Computing

 

  1. AI at the Edge (3 hours) (Workshop)
    1. Hands-on: Machine Learning with Edge Computing
    2. Deploying Machine Learning Models on embedded devices
    3. Practical Examples: Using a programmable device for real-world scenarios.

 

  1. Project Work and Applications (3 hours) (Workshop)
    1. Mini-projects:
      1. Building an AI-powered project (e.g., gesture-controlled robot, smart sensor)
      2. Integrating Machine Learning models into real-world scenarios
