    Programme Details
    The Certificate in Data Centre Management and Operations Foundation for Public Sector is designed to address the growing demand for skilled facilities management professionals in Hong Kong. This programme aims to equip learners with essential skills in areas such as software applications for enhancing efficiency, technical skills for site preparation and facilities management, networking protocols, and cybersecurity essentials. 
     
    On completion of the module, learners are expected to be able to:
    1. Data centre maintenance involves assessing needs, implementing strategies, and performing preventative and predictive tasks to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures. 
    2. Data centre management and operations involve using tools, managing changes and decommissioning, structuring operations, and implementing processes and monitoring for efficiency.
    3. IT support involves providing user support and customer service, operating help desks, and overseeing teams that provide technical support to ensure efficient and effective assistance.
    4. Cybersecurity essentials cover information security concepts, security and risk management frameworks, and physical security and access control to protect data and systems.

    Class 1 (Private class): 11, 15, 16 Dec 2025 (Time: 09:30-12:30 & 13:30-17:30)
    Entry Requirements

    Completion of S6; or
    Completion of a QF Level 2 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; or
    Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 2 or above; or
    Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board; or

    Where appropriate, requirements on work experience / employment status of an applicant may also be included for entry to in-service programmes.
