On completion of the module, learners are expected to be able to:
- determine the specific security requirements for software applications, focusing on confidentiality, integrity, and availability;
- implement architectural designs which reduce potential vulnerabilities and limit the exposure of software applications to threats;
- use coding practices that prevent common security vulnerabilities; and
- employ tools for both static and dynamic code analysis, along with penetration testing, to detect and assess vulnerabilities in software applications.

Class 2 (Private class): 1, 4, 8, 11, 15 Jun 2026 (Time: 09:30-12:30 & 13:30-17:30)
Entry Requirements
Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; or
Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board; or
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
