Programme Aims
Renewable energy is important for sustainable development. In order to promote the development of distributed renewable energy, Hong Kong government has launched the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Scheme in year 2018. Any non-governmental bodies or individuals install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at their premises and meet the specified requirements are eligible for applying the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Scheme. This course aims to provide specific training on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for applicants who are interested in this field.

    ⦁ Solar power systems (On-Grid, Off-Grid, Batteries backup)

2. Solar PV installation
    ⦁ Solar panel and rack system
    ⦁ Cables and wiring
    ⦁ Electrical connection and safety
 
3. Solar PV Feed-In Tariff
    ⦁ How to prepare
    ⦁ How to apply
    ⦁ How to evaluate the benefit
 
4. Solar PV system Installation Consideration 
    ⦁ Electrical Code of Practice 
    ⦁ RE System Operation 
    ⦁ Test Report Preparation  
 
5. Solar PV System Optimize Design

Financial Assistance Scheme

The Lifelong Learning Subsidy is eligible for the VTC full-time students and graduates of Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies / Foundation Diploma, Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma in Vocational Education, Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate and Diploma Yi Jin / Yi Jin Diploma programmes with study duration of 1 year or above and with award offered by the VTC.

Each eligible graduate or student is entitled to the subsidy once under the scheme, no matter how many courses they are admitted to.
